Management Careers

Employment Outlook

The employment outlook is very good with job growth expected to continue over the next decade. Graduates with undergraduate degrees in Business Administration / Management can be employed by municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement, juvenile and adult correction facilities, private and corporate security/investigation firms. Successful employment in many positions – particularly law enforcement positions – is dependent upon passing competitive entrance examinations, meeting various medical requirements, and passing background investigations. Good performance and additional training can enhance opportunities for advancement.

Employment in management occupations is projected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, to grow 5 percent from 2019 to 2029, faster than the average for all occupations, and will result in about 505,000 new jobs. Employment growth is expected to be driven by the formation of new organizations and expansion of existing ones, which should require more workers to manage these operations.
