Tuition Waiver For 65 or Older
The Leighton University Board of Trustees has developed a tuition waiver, which focuses on Mississippi residents (only) who have attained the age of 65 or older or will attain this specified age within the 6-week or 8-week Term in which they are currently enrolled. Irrespective of county of residence within the State of Mississippi, senior citizens may enroll in any credit bearing course to attain their first undergraduate degree, or for personal interest/enrichment. This waiver is for no more than one course (a 3-4 credit hours course) per 8-week session.
The policy adopted in 2019, states:
“The Board of Trustees authorizes the waiver of tuition and Board-approved mandatory fees for Mississippi senior citizens who register for undergraduate courses on a credit or audit basis atLeighton University” [November 20, 2019].
